ABOUT ERNA
Originally from Holland, Erna emigrated in 2020 to France with her husband Paul and dog called Rio. They live in a country house on a hill, between Lubersac, Arnac Pompadour & Segur le Chateau.
As een illustrator and artist I tend to split my studio time in making illustrations for books or commissioned art or making my poster & card range.
I love the variety that my work brings! Mainly I work in my cosy little studio.
I usually draw in pencil and dip pen and ink and aquarel. I really enjoy being able to make stand alone illustrations for the cards, or taking illustrations I’ve made for larger pieces and giving them a new purpose as a greeting card.
I love the idea of an envelope being opened to reveal a surprise image, just as one might be excited to turn a page in a book!
I get my inspiration from nature and animals and with my background as an interior designer I also love to draw old houses and buildings. A house portrait is a personal and unique gift or a beautiful reminder of a house or building.
And if you’d like to commission a pet portrait then also feel free to get in touch. I'd love to hear all about your pet’s character and personality so that I can bring them to life on paper, to keep forever in your home.
